Project Overview
The Solar Dynamics Observatory Machine Learning Dataset (SDOML) is a curated dataset derived from the SDO mission.
Since its launch in 2010, NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO; (Pesnell et al. 2012) has continuously monitored Sun’s activity, delivering tens-of-petabytes of high-quality, high-cadence scientific data with the use of three instruments.
SDOML builds upon this data by providing a compressed, standardised dataset that is conveniently hosted on the Google Cloud Platform. The goal is to enable rapid, agile research, that leads to reproducible results, which benefit the whole community.
